6/7/16 6-foot-2, 195-pound athletic, projectable frame. Starts in a tall, open setup before getting back to even through a short stride. Could create more energy from his lower half. A strong kid who takes a short compact path to the ball. Has more batspeed than his 80 mph exit velocity would indicate. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. A solid defensive third baseman with above average tools across the board. Has good feel for the position. Threw across the infield with 81 mph arm strength on this day but we have seen him as high as 83 mph.
1/18/16 is a very good athlete at 6-foot-2, 195-pounds. A right-handed hitter that starts open and uses a simple toe turn load with minimal hand movement. Burley showed a fast bat and the ability to consistently find the barrel during batting practice. Exit velocity was at 87 mph with more left in the tank. Ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Projects to the next level as a very good defender at third base. Showed good range and athletic actions with the ability to play low. Was able to field the ball out front and use a quick transfer to get rid of the ball in a timely fashion. From a loose, 3/4 slot he showed 83 mph arm strength across the diamond.
