12/2/18 On the mound Tackett is a left handed pitching prospect who throws from an over the top arm slot. He has an athletic build and throws his fastball between 76-80 mph. The fastball stayed true through the zone. His changeup had a similar action and sat between 71-73 mph. Liked what I saw on the plate. Movements are athletic to load, leading to a balanced launch. Ball jumps off the barrel, generating gap pop with some looming power in there. A guy that just has a knack for consistently finding the barrel. At first base he gets off the bag well, staying under control without compromising lateral mobility. More than capable defender over there. 60-yard Dash: 8.06 Infield Velocity: 77 Exit Velocity: 85
2/18/18 6-foot, 180 pound prospect plays both in the outfield and infield. Defensively in the outfield he fielded it well showing average glovework. Footwork was fine getting to the side of the ball but is still developing in quickness. Throwing velocity was 80 mph to home plate. At first base he showed nice hands fielding each attempt well. Gets off the bag nicely with average footwork. Arm strength showed 70 mph throws across the diamond to third base. Swing is from the left side, starting in a balanced setup. Uses a leg kick for timing and does a nice job of maintaining barrel rhythm through load into launch. Launches from a balanced position and takes a level path to contact. Displayed impressive feel for the barrel with well above average natural tools for class. Swing is very efficient and expect any added burst/strength to easily translate to added pop. Very impressive round of BP. 60-yard dash: 8.41 Infield Velocity: 70 Outfield Velocity: 80 Exit Velocity: 94
