6/6/18 One of the top performers regardless of position on the day. Wright continues to get better each time we see him and his stock continues to rise. Swings it from the left side that with a loose yet physical stroke. Hands show obvious strength and speed throughout swing sequence allowing him to create effortless juice. Behind the dish he showed one of the bigger arms of the day and also had a strong showing defensively at third base. 60-yard dash: 7.62 Pop Times: 1.88-1.94 Catcher Velocity: 78 Infield Velocity: 85 Exit Velocity: 90
2/4/18 Left-handed swinging catchers are premium and Wright is one of the better ones left on the board. An above average catch/throw guy (1.88-2.0 pop times) that also showed the ability to block and receive. A smooth swinger at the plate with a fast bat and obvious strength to his hands. Swing is efficient and he showed more than enough thump to hit in the middle of a lineup. Looks to be new to the outfield but showed the athleticism and arm to be a corner guy. Look for him only to get better out there with reps.

6/6/17 A left-handed hitter that starts in an open stance. Gets back to even with a controlled stride. Natural tools are there. Barrel gets on plane early and stays through contact well. Path is flat and he consistently produced line drives in batting practice. Solid hitter. Behind the plate he is a well above average athlete for the position. Solid catch and throw skills. Arm action is clean and the ball comes out of his hand well. In the infield he moves light on his feet. Hands work well and he has above average lateral mobility.
6-foot-0, 172-pound prospect. A lefty swinger that creates excellent energy with his lower half through his loading sequence. Hands stay simple prior to getting through the zone on a level path. Creates solid separation between his upper and lower half. Has the tools to drive the baseball into the gap. Consistently made hard contact in batting practice. In the infield he showed quickness to his footwork with adequate glove skills. Tends to field from heels at times. Quick arm with carry to his throws across the infield. His athleticism is evident behind the plate while catching. Moves with obvious quickness in his footwork and hands. Snaps off his throws with confidence. Will be interesting to see his progression as an infielder or catcher.
