2/9/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Lake throws from a ¾ arm slot and shows a somewhat long arm swing the backside of his arm action. He creates pretty good momentum down the mound and the ball comes out clean. Fastball: The fastball was 79-81 mph and appeared mostly true through the zone with some depth to the pitch. Curveball: His breaking ball was 69-71 mph with a slurvey shape but good bite and depth along with lateral movement. Changeup: The changeup was 74-75 mph. Pitchability: Lake showed good feel for his pitch mix. The fastball and slurvey breaking ball paired well together and accentuated the actions on each other.
2/9/20 Position Player Hit: Lake shows a simple, balanced approach at the plate. He uses a mini leg kick to initiate his load and shows an on plane bat path and keeps his barrel through the zone well. Power: 82 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Shows a pretty clean swing. How he develops physically will be a major component of his long term offensive projection. Field: In the infield he shows average rhythm and timing with overall fairly good feet. Shows good hands and quick transfer on his throws that showed good carry. Quick arm. Throw: 80 mph across the diamond. Defensive Projection: Shows some projectable physical tools that could keep him in the middle of the diamond at the next level. Raw arm strength and defensive polish will dictate if he’s more of a 2B or SS type.

Lake looks the part on both sides of the ball. Smooth, fluid swing on a slightly uphill path. Swing shows intent with more than enough natural tools to do damage when he finds the barrel. All fields hitter with gap abilities. In the infield he is mechanically sound with athletic actions. Ball skills are above average. Middle skill set.
7/10/18
A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Movements are fluid and athletic prior to launch. Level stroke through the zone with noticeable batspeed too and strength through. Impressive feel for finding the barrel. Should see much more juice as strength arrives considering his athleticism and swing efficiency. Athleticism also shows up in the infield. Feet work well, creating angles and maintaining rhythm. Hands work well and ball skills are above average for class. Arm plays on the left side.
5-foot-10, 140 pound taller, lean framed right handed pitcher throws from a ¾ arm slot with a longer, loose arm action at release. Displayed nice actions mechanically and provided a quicker paced tempo with a shorter stride while getting extended downhill. His fastball sat 68-71 mph and kept it low during his pen. Curveball was 58-60 mph with some tight spin and command well. Changeup was 60-61 with downward arm side run. Slider is still developing at 57-58 mph. Two-way prospect. A very good athlete who stood out on both sides of the ball. At the plate pre-launch movements are athletic and well timed. Showed an intent driven swing on a level path. Does a nice job of balancing intent and control. Displayed above average impressive natural tools through the zone with a knack for finding the barrel. Laced line drives to both gaps in BP. A flashy infielder with athletic actions. Moves light on his feet and creates efficient angles to play through the baseball with rhythm. Glove skills are advanced for his age. Definitely a prospect to follow.
