2/4/18
6-foot-1, 195 pounds right handed pitching prospect with a sturdy build throws from a straight over the top arm slot with stiff action. Lewis provided good tempo creating good fluidity in his motion but his arm needs to speed up and get to a stronger position to release the ball at foot strike. He gets down the mound exceptional well with a deceptive delivery. FB sat 80-81 with slight arm side run to it. His CB showed great break and commanded very well within the zone at 64-66 mph. CH sat 70-71 with little run to it that can be improved by throwing it with similar arm speed to his fastball. Good size that leads to potential at the next level.
2/20/17
Strong, physical frame. On the mound, he uses a slow, deliberate delivery. Throws from a high ¾ to over the top slot with long arm action. Regular effort to his delivery. Fastball showed occasional sink to the arm side at 79-81 mph. His breaking ball is his best off speed pitch. Showed two-plane action, typically sitting 64-66 mph. Tended to throw it with faster arm speed out of the stretch. Also mixed in a 69-71 mph developing changeup.
