1/27/18
In the infield he plays fast, cutting down distance off the bat. Frame and actions fit in the corner of the infield. Looks to have the ball skills/arm for the left side at this stage. On the mound the right-hander flows through his delivery with good tempo. Arm works through a high-¾ slot with above average strength. Ball comes out well with fastball displaying regular arm side action at 79-83 mph. Breaker was impressive, showing sharp action with depth at 72-75 mph. When in the zone the pitch has swing and miss capabilities. Also showed developing feel for his 72-76 mph changeup.
Home to First: 4.33
Infield Velocity: 86
Exit Velocity: 81

Ran a 7.13 60-yard dash. A right-handed hitter that starts in a wider setup. Pre launch movements are simple and efficient. An aggressive hitter that swings with intent to both fields. Much improved mechanically since we saw him in the summer. Natural tools stands out, with both strength and bat speed projecting as well above average tools. Top exit velocity was 90 mph. A third baseman with quick, controlled feet. Takes direct routes to the baseball, showing developing ball skills through the baseball. Does a nice job of cutting down distance prior to throws. Showed 81 mph arm strength across the diamond. In the outfield he plays with aggressive footwork getting to the baseball. Ball skills are adequate and arm was an above average tool. At this stage he looks more projectable in the outfield than infield. Topped out at 83 mph to home plate.
7/5/17
A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a short stride for timing. Barrel stays vertical prior to launch. Strong kid with impressive barrel whip through the zone. Ball jumps off his bat. Somewhat raw mechanically but the natural tools are there to be a middle of the lineup guy. Worked primarily to his pull side in BP. At third base he takes aggressive routes to the baseball showing quickness to his feet. Fields the ball out in front of his body prior to funneling to the middle. Ball skills are developing. Arm works for the position.
