Bat speed was above average, showed a level rotational swing plane and level finish. In his round he found some barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 73 mph; has average feet, firm hands, and a natural fluid exchange. Showed a compact arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 8.53.
6/29/20
Hit:Uber physical bat form the left side. Everything is smooth/comes together well to loading sequence. Ton of feel in the box. Prototype middle of the lineup bat who has a chance to hit for a high average. Power:Gap to gap pop. Offensive Projection:Middle of lineup. Max BP Exit Velocity:85 mph Max BP Distance: 300 ft Field:Plays with obvious feel for the first base position. Moves around the bag well. Ball skills are ahead of the curve. Throw:Clean arm. Defensive Projection: 1B.
2/17/20
2/17/20 Position Player Hit: Left handed hitter that starts out in a balanced setup. Simple tap loading sequence to create an on time swing. Slightly uphill bat path creating loft. Power: gap abilities. Offensive Projection: TBD. Field: Solid glove skills at first base. Funnels into the body to ensure outs. Developing lateral movement skills. Throw: ¾ slot developing arm strength at 70 mph across the diamond. Defensive Projection: 1B.
7/10/18 Starts in a taller setup in the box. Hands stay quiet during leg kick timing mechanism. Launches from a balanced setup prior to whipping the barrel through the zone on a level plane. Swing offers more present strength than speed. Middle of the lineup potential. Worked out at first base. Plays off the bag well with soft hands through fielding. Looks to be comfortable at the position. Showed above average ball skills for the spot. Behind the dish he gets out of his crouch well with fluid actions. Feet gain ground and create solid direction to second base. Arm is on par for class and throws were on the bag for the most part. 60-yard dash: 10.27 Pop Times: 2.37-2.47 Catcher Velocity: 64 Infield Velocity: 65 Exit Velocity: 75
3/4/18 A physical bat from the left side. Loadings sequence is fluid, incorporating well timed movements that establish balance and create consistent timing. Swing is compact on a mostly level path. Hands show more present strength than speed at this stage. Behind the dish he is cluid and mechanically sound. Exchange skills are smooth and arm action fits the position. Should see natural improvements in pop times as he matures physically. 60-yard dash: 10.39 Pop Times: 2.5-2.72 Catcher Velocity: 61 Exit Velocity: 68
