8/12/18 Right-handed pitching prospect in the 2019 class. Fluid tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Momentum load with lower half that creates solid energy down the mound. Arm is clean/loose through a high-¾ slot. Impressive feel for the zone, filling it up with all three offerings. Fastball was anywhere from 75-79 mph staying mostly true through the zone. Breaking ball has tight action with depth on an 11/5 plane at 64-69 mph. Maintains armspeed on the changeup that has fade to it at 68-71 mph. Both secondary offerings are quality.
2/4/18 5-foot-8, 160 pound right hander exhibits clean arm action out of a higher ¾ arm slot. Johnson has a fast tempo than produces a quick burst of energy in his delivery. He gets downhill with strong force and sat 78-82 with his FB that showed good command. His CB displayed great tilt and located it with ease. Johnson has a small build that produces good power output as he gives max effort in every action. At shortstop Johnson displayed excellent actions with a smooth glove. His footwork flowed well allowing him to get to balls quickly and efficiently leading to strong, accurate throws across the diamond at 82 mph. He swings it from the right side with good positive momentum showing good power. His swing creates good separation in his load getting him to a strong launch position resulting in solid contact with an exit velocity of 85 mph. Aggressive mentality that can help him improve as he moves onto the next level.

Has a strong build for his age and size at 5-foot-6, 150-pounds. A right-handed hitter that starts in a wider, balanced set up. During his short stride forward he takes his hands back to create balance before getting the bat through the zone quickly, on a level path. Registered a top exit velocity of 73 mph and ran a 4.68 from home to first. In the infield Taylor showed quickness to both his footwork and his transfer. Was able to remain fluid on the move and field the ball out in front of his body. From a 3/4 slot he threw across the infield with 73 mph arm strength. On the mound the righty uses good tempo and direction to home plate. Arm has quickness to it and from a high-3/4 slot he sat 74-75 mph with his fastball. Curveball has an 11/5 shape with signs of being sharp at 63-64 mph. Also flashed a changeup using fastball armspeed at 68-70 mph.
1/24/16 5-foot-6, 142-pound athletic build. Ran a 5.00 home to first. At the plate he starts in a wider setup and gather his weight with a rhythmic load backwards using a leg lift.
