6-foot, 205-pound prospect with a physical, athletic frame. Fastball pounded the lower half of the zone at 83-86 mph and had plenty of arm side movement. Counters his curveball with a circle change. Threw the offering in the dirt at times, but when it was on his changeup provided a great change of pace at 77-78 mph. Curveball spun a sharp 1-7 tilt with plenty of late action.

Marinac has stayed under the radar as a prospect, largely in part to an injury that kept him out most of last summer. That should change heading into 2018 as Marinac shows two-way capabilities with a very high ceiling on the mound. The southpaw shows athletic actions on the mound with a fluid, repeatable delivery. Arm is clean and ball comes out with very little effort. Reportedly has been up to 87 mph, sitting 84-85 mph on this day. It’s safe to assume he has more in the tank as well with his cleanliness and athleticism. A starter type that also offers two well above average secondary offerings.
