2/19/17 A talented arm in the 2018 class. A mechanically efficient right-hander that has clean arm action and impressive arm speed. Fastball has run at times while sitting 84-86 mph, touching 87 mph twice. Continues to spins one of the better breakers in his class. The pitch is very sharp with impressive depth at 71-73 mph. Flashed a much improved changeup since the last times we saw him. Showed very good feel for the pitch that had depth with late fade.
6/6/16 5-foot-9, 170-pound average build. One of the top right-handed pitchers in the 2018 class. Has good tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Working through a near over the top slot he sat 84-88 mph. His breaking ball is a plus pitch with sharp break and good depth. Has swing and miss to it while coming in anywhere between 73-76 mph. Still developing feel for his 76-77 mph changeup. Struggled with command at times but was near unhittable when in the zone.
2/13/16 5-foot-9, 170-pound prospect with solid, athletic frame. Draws comparisons to current Ohio University pitcher RHP Jake Miller. Engages his lower half and shows some effort to his delivery. Fastball that topped at 85 mph but sat at 83-84 mph. Uses short arm action and shows some deception out of the slot. Breaking ball is sharp at 70-71 mph and displayed command of a new 70-72 mph changeup with good sink to the arm side. 8/31/15
5-foot-9, 165-pound athletic build. Right-handed hitter with a spread out stance and balanced. Hands back with minimal load and swing gets in and out of the hitting zone with 79 mph exit velocity. Ran a 4.93 home to first. From the outfield he does a good job approaching the baseball and use a good run thru with 74 mph arm strength from a high-3/4 slot. He projects on the mound at the next level. Slow tempo delivery with simple lift, good direction, and a little head lean. Throws from a high-3/4 slot with fastball sitting 81-84 mph with good life. Throws two different breaking balls. Curveball has good 12/6 bite at 67-68 mph with command. Slider is harder with more of a 10/4 break at 71-74 mph with some swing and miss to it. Showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 71-74 mph.
