Body Type: 5-foot-11, 170-pound physical frame. Swing Mechanics: Small leg kick while keeping his hands loose and loaded. Hit: Level bat path. Swings with intent, and has good feel in the box. Hit tool is going to play. Good control over his body/movements throughout sequence. Power: Flashed pop to the gaps with more to come. 86.5 mph off the bat in BP. Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup guy. Field: Plays under control with good tempo in the infield. Flashed the ability to create angles and hands look on par for class. Throw: High-3/4 righty with solid strength for class. Defensive Projection: Corner Infield.
3/4/18 In the infield he plays under control doing a nice job of playing the baseball out in front of his body. Actions are athletic and ball skills are above average for class. A middle infielder skill set who’s future destination will likely be determined on how arm progresses. A lefty swinger at the plate that starts in a balanced, slighty open setup. Loading sequence is smooth and athletic, creating balance at foot strike. Swing is compact with some natural loft to his path. A line drive swinger with feel for finding the barrel. Impressive round of BP, looking like a talented young bat to follow. The right handed pitcher displays good, clean mechanics throughout his delivery. Offers projectability on the mound while using a high 3/4, near over the top slot. Long arm action. Showed consistency with fastball velocity in both windup and stretch as it sits between 67-70 mph. Best offspeed pitch is his 61-63 mph curveball. The breaking ball shows some sharp 11/5 movement with some added depth. Also mixes in a 65-66 mph changeup. 60-yard dash: 8.18 Infield Velocity: 68 Exit Velocity: 77
11/18/17 A two-way prospect in the 2022 class. On the bump the right-hander has a quicker tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Arm moves through an over the top slot, using shorter arm action. Generated some of the more noticeable fastball movements of the day. The pitch showed obvious run at 65-69 mph. Breaking ball was also a solid offering, showing tight action on an 11/5 plane at 61-64 mph. At the plate he showed off a smooth, efficient swing from the left side. Movements are fluid and well-timed prior to swing decision. When he does pull the trigger he finds plane well and has feel for the barrel. Should see easy increases to his 74 mph exit velocity as he matures physically. Ran a 4.99 from home to first. In the infield he plays fast with obvious confidence in his glove. Ball skills are above average and has a quick transfer. Threw across the diamond with 66 mph arm strength.
