Gassner is a tall, athletic kid that throws downhill from a high ¾ arm slot. His fastball has some late life at 79-81 mph. His changeup is thrown at 64-68 mph and has some drop to it right before the plate. He throws an 11/5 curveball at 68 mph as well. He tends to throw across his body and will benefit from driving more toward the plate. Average lateral ability around the bag. Showed soft hands when receiving the baseball with fluid actions. Feet stay active while aggressive to the baseball. A righty swinger that starts in a tall setup. Uses a knee pinch for timing as barrel loads into a vertical launch. Loose, whippy swing on a compact/downhill stroke. Contact guy with sneaky pop.
