6-foot right-hander that pounded the zone with fastball/breaking ball combination. Comes right at hitters with the heater that plays up velo wise. Sat 83-84 mph throughout the outing, commanding both sides of the plate. Slider was tight as it darts across the plate at 75-77 mph. Also spins a breaking ball with an 11/5 shape that has a bit bigger action but maintains most of its depth. Tossed a clean inning with over 80% strikes and three strikes outs. High follow that competes in the zone with three quality offerings and shows signs of more velo in the tank.

Body Type: 6-foot, 165-pound long limbed frame with room to add. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Easy, athletic delivery that he can repeat. Gets down the mound well with direction and energy. Everything works pretty well. Fastball: 83-85 mph. Heavy movement on both sides of the plate. Pitch danced all over the zone with late action. Some of the more quality movement we’ve seen on a fastball this winter. Cutter: 79-81. Slider look to it. Late, quality action. Curveball: 72-73 mph. Very sharp pitch with present swing and miss. Changeup: 75-78 mph. Late, heavy fade. Pitchability: Feel for all four offerings. Filled it up. Additional Comments: Breakout candidate this spring. Doesn’t throw anything straight with impressive pitchability. Wouldn’t be shocked at all to see him get D1 attention this spring/summer.

On the mound the right-hander shows good pace to his delivery that requires some effort. Arm is long and whippy through a high-¾ slot. Fastball will stay mostly true on the outer half but will run arm side at 75-79 mph. Changeup is a well above average offering, showing late run and dive while maintaining arm speed. The pitch came in at 71-73 mph. Breaking ball has potential showing signs of both depth and sharpness at 71-73 mph.

5-foot-10, 140-pound prospect. A righty swinger that starts in an athletic setup prior to his toe turn load. Lower half is efficient and produces adequate energy. Hands stay loose as they move to launch. Takes a slightly downhill path to the baseball, with developing bat speed. Contact guy at this stage that showed solid hand eye coordination by consistently finding the barrel. Swing if efficient so any added strength should translate to added juice. In the outfield he showed aggressive, athletic footwork. Plays through the ball well, fielding on his glove foot side. Has feel for the position and plays with confidence. Uses a very efficient shuffle step to gain momentum into throws. Throws were consistently on target. In the infield he showed quickness to his feet and does a nice job of playing low on plays inside his funnel. Actions are more athletic in funnel than on the move. Above average glove skills for his age.
