Savian Wilkins: RHP/RHP, (2024) Canton Mckinley, OH. 6-foot, 220-pound. Clocked a 60 time of 8.0 at the event. Solid on the mound, showed some arm speed, he had a loose clean arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. He has downhill shoulders with a strong balance point. Lands soft with balanced finish. Shows slight running action. (Max spin 2139; Avg 2002). Has late action on his 10/4 curveball. (Max spin 2030; Avg 1960).
30-yard dash: 4.47
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Goes with a leg kick timing trigger with a bat tip up top. Aggressive swinger that doesn't get cheated and has the tools to do damage when he connects. Some of the highest bat and hand speed we saw on the day. Up to 75mph batspeed and near 25mph peak hand speed. Impressive round.
Power: Potential for legit raw power.
Offensive Projection: Middle.
Field: Easy tempo in the infield with sure-handed ball skills. How lateral mobility develops will determine future corner spot.
Throw: Clean arm with jump out of the hand.
Defensive Projection: Corner infield.
Delivery Notes: Good looking arm in the 2024 class. Athletic, easy delivery that her can repeat. Creates solid energy/direction with lower half and arm works well. Expect jumps with maturity.
Fastball: Ball comes out well with heavy sink at times. expect more velo down the road.
Breaking Ball: Tight breaker with late action. not a big bender but the depth will allow him to miss barrels.
Changeup: Developing offering that had a fastball look out of the hand.
Pitchability: Strike thrower for the most part.
