A right-handed swinger that starts in an athletic setup. A rhythmic swinger whose loose hands allow him to generate early baspeed with natural whip through the zone. Swing is compact on a slightly downhill trajectory. Offers a balanced combination of strength and bat speed. Has some definite feel in there. Finds the barrel often. In the infield he plays under control with quiet actions. Plays low through fielding and has urgency to transfer. Second baseman skill set. Two-way prospect. On the bump the right-hander has fluidity to his lower effort deliver. Has the ability to repeat delivery. A strike thrower that works through a high-¾ slot. Fastball was mostly true through the zone, sitting 71-73 mph. Also spins a breaking ball that works on an 11/5 plane with gradual action at 61-62 mph. Home to 1st: 4.93 Infield Velocity: 69 Exit Velocity: 79
1/27/18 5-foot-6, 145 pound right-handed hitter showed a short, inside out swing with decent power. He made good contact for most of his round sending some line drives provided by his 71 mph exit velocity. LaRocco gets good use out of his lower half and uses his hips well while rotating. His swing provides good extension through the ball and finishes in a good position. Defensively, he is a second base type. Uses short arm action through high ¾ slot. Will be aided as he creates angles and maintains momentum through the ball. Top velocity of 69 mph across the infield.
