At the plate Holtz shows some athleticism and strength. He has a modified leg kick for his load and somewhat flat bat path. He generates good bat speed but shows room to use his body better in his swing. Seems to be a who has more power potential in the tank. A first baseman that gets off the bag with quick feet. Looks well versed at the position and comfortable on the move. Solid defender. On the mound Holtz has a big build with long levers. He throws from a ¾ arm slot and has long arm action. His fastball was 80-83 mph and showed some arm side run and fade when it was down in the zone. He also displayed a 67-70 mph breaking ball that showed potential with some downward bite to the pitch.

A righty bat that starts in a balanced setup. Starts movements early and gets front foot down in plenty of time. A strong kid with middle of the lineup potential. Path has some loft, allowing him to lift the baseball naturally. Showed solid juice in BP. At first base he has the frame for his spot with more lateral mobility than frame would suggest. Flashed the leather a few times over there showing above average ball skills. Two-way prospect. On the bump the right-hander is a physical presence. Arm is loose and ball comes out well. Filled up the zone with the heater that was anywhere from 77-80 mph. Breaking ball works on an 11/5 plane with sharp action when got on top of the baseball. Tossed the 65-67 mph offering with confidence.
