Swing Mechanics: Big leg kick with a bat tip. Everything syncs up through contact.
Hit: Swing works. Has good feel in the box. Middle of the field approach. Slight uphill bat path.
Power: Pop to the middle of the field. More to come as he develops more as a hitter.
Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup guy. Field: First baseman that plays with feel off the bag. Glove skills play at the position. Throw: High-3/4 right-hander with average strength presently. Defensive Projection: 1B.
Body Type: 6-foot, 200-pound physical frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: On the mound the right-hander has a smooth tempo to a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. High-¾ right-hander with developing arm speed. Stays in line well with solid direction down the hill. Fastball: Mid to upper 60s fastball that had regular arm side action. Average spin rate guy with developing efficiency. Curveball: 11/5 big shape with gradual action at 53-56 mph. Pitchability: Filled up the zone for the most part.
2/2/2019 Pitching
Body Type: 6-foot 195-pound prospect.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a drop and drive style to his delivery.
Fastball: 67-68 mph fastball showed a natural cutting action at times.
Breaking Ball: 57-59 mph breaking ball showed minimal bite and sharpness with average spin.
Changeup: 60 mph changeup was mostly true through the zone.
Pitchability: Pretty good feel for his three pitch mix in the zone.
Role: Present stuff would make him project as a bullpen type at the next level. Refinement of secondary pitches would be crucial for his development.
2/2/2019
Body Type: 6-foot 195-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a medium, slightly open stance. Uses a leg kick and hovers his front foot for a split second before ‘getting his foot down.’ Shows high hands and an uphill bat path and kept his barrel through the zone well.
Hit: Good barrel control through the zone.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Shows a pretty good swing. Raw power would potentially need improve due to his tendency to hit the ball in the air with below average raw power. Shows potential to develop into a gap to gap guy if he gains more physical strength.
Field: In the infield he waits on the ball a bit too much with average footwork and angles.
Run: 7.81 mph exit velocity.
Defensive Projection: Presently would be a guy who might benefit from a move to a corner OF spot, but shows adequate abilities to play 2B at the high school level.
