Scouting Notes:Southpaw for college coaches to keep an eye on. Good athlete with a fast arm. Still has a ton of room to fill out that athletic frame and as he does you should see that fastball velocity trend upward. Complements the heater with a breaking ball that shows signs of sharpness and above average changeup. High follow as he continues to develop. Definite college future. Diced in his outing, striking out his fair share of hitters and inducing constant weak contact. Fastball:78-80 mph. Fastball Spin Rate:1683-1727 Curveball:66-68 mph. Curveball Spin Rate:2045-2171 Changeup: 70-71 mph.
2/09/20
2/9/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Southpaw with Slow tempo motion with fierce finish to delivery. Does a good job at shifting weight to carry momentum towards the plate. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball: True through the zone for the most part with a little glove side run. 82mph. Curveball: Better offering shows 12/6 - 11/5 break with sharp bite and above average depth at 69mph. Changeup: Slows arm speed down a little, some arm side fade. 70mph
2/17/19 Pitching Body Type: 5-foot-10, 130-pound athletic frame with room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Very athletic actions on the mound. Mobile athlete with a loose, clean arm. Expect easy velo increases as he fills out frame.
Fastball: 74-76 mph. Filled up the zone with the offering that will be much higher velo wise before it is all said and done.
Slider: Spins the pitch well giving it some depth on a 1/7 plane. Maintains arm speed on the offering.
Changeup: Pitch shows some run and dive to it at 67-69 mph.
Pitchability: Above average for class.
Additional Comments: Not there yet but a definite follow down the road. Wouldn’t be shocked in the least bit if he’s an 80s guy that can spin it before it’s all said and done.
