Two-way prospect. On the bump the southpaw has an uptempo delivery that requires little effort. Low leg lift followed by a drop and drive load. Lands slightly closed at foot strike with momentum carrying him to the third base line at finish. Loose/slinging arm action that projects for more strength. Has three pitches to his arsenal through a ¾ slot. Fastball shows slight arm side action at 55-59 mph. Slows arm on the 41-45 mph changeup that is mostly true through the zone. Top secondary offering was his sweeping breaking ball that shows big action through the zone at 45-46 mph. A first baseman with the frame for the spot. Plays low off the bag displaying above average ball skills. Loose arm that projects for more strength across the diamond. A lefty swinger that starts in an open setup. Uses a leg kick for timing while keeping hands simple throughout load. Took big hacks in BP, not getting cheated. Impressively he doesn’t compromise much control inside his intent driven swings. Should grow into gap abilities once he twitches up.
