1/13/19 Pitching Body Type: 6-foot-5, 230-pounds. Big, long frame with broad shoulders. Physically developed. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Somewhat stiff with some of his movements but still moves relatively well for his size. He uses his length well and creates good extension towards. Fastball: T82, was mostly 79-81. Fastball was pretty true through the zone but seemed to jump because his ability to close distance with his length. Slider: Velocity on the slider ranged from 65-71 mph. Was significantly better in the 70-71 mph range and become looser and more slurvey when it was in the mid to upper 60’s. Maintained good arm speed. Pitchability: Showed some inconsistency with command of the fastball when fatigue factored in. Slider command was better. Future Role: Profiles as a guy who could potentially start or relieve. If he can improve ability to use strength and size to increase velocity it will dictate what level he can get to.
