Nolan Krekeler: 1B/RHP, (2023) Archbishop Moeller, OH. 6-foot-2, 185-pound. During batting practice, Krekeler clocked an exit velocity of 90 mph. (68.0 mph bat speed average). (19.6 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Bat speed was quick, had a simple uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 77 mph; showed sure hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, used a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing some arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 77-81 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2234; Avg 2150). Throws a 11/5 curveball (67-68) with slurvey action. (Max spin 2236; Avg 2155). His changeup (68-69) shows slight fading action. Ran a 4.22 30 yard dash.
6-foot-2, 185-pound physical frame. Above average during batting practice, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 85 mph. Started in a tall stance with a smooth load, then used a toe tap. Had average bat speed, upward level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Had some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Base hit approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws up to 68 mph; showed a natural exchange, consistent hands, and average feet. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.41. Solid on the mound, showed quick arm speed, he had a loose arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher and uses decent effort. Showed athletic balance point and downhill shoulders. Lands square with a recoil finish. Sat with his fastball at 76-78 mph; has running action and arm side control. Threw a 11/5 curveball (68-69) that showed gradual action and consistent command. Showed fading action and arm side command on his changeup (66-67).
