Nolan Holmgren: C/3B, (2022) Archbishop Hoban, OH. 6-foot, 180-pound. Solid at the plate, the right-handed hitter's 91 mph exit velocity ranks him 3rd at the event. Starts in a tall open stance with a controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is quick and uses a level swing plane. Had some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Capable In the infield, showed a clean exchange, firm hands, and average feet. Behind the plate, he recorded a position velocity of 73 mph during throw downs; has soft hands, a clean quick exchange, and athletic feet. Displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.96-2.04. Has athletic setup. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.85.
Body Type: 6-foot, 165-pound thin frame.
Swing Mechanics: Simple load with minimal movement that gets his entire body in sync with his lower half.
Hit: Level bat path with natural ball flight to the middle part of the field. Handsy hitter that generates natural backspin to both fields.
Power: Flashed pop to the gaps. 88 mph was top exit velocity off the bat in BP.
Offensive Projection: Middle of lineup.
Field: Third baseman that plays under control throughout sequence. Hands work well with feet and he looks to be sure-handed. Behind the dish, he featured quick feet with a quick transfer. He receives and blocks the baseball very well. Athletic set-up that allows him to move side to side.
Throw: Clean arm with already respectable strength and more to come. Behind the dish, he featured a good arm with short and compact action.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Lower half is simple using a short stride for timing. Barrel maintains rhythm through a bat tip load. Movements are well timed, creating energy and balance. Swing shows a balanced combination of strength and bat speed, both grading as well above average tools. Ball jumps to both gaps. A middle of the lineup guy with impressive juice for class. Still has more to come as he fills out athletic frame. At third base he brings well above average athleticism to the position. Times feet well and maintains rhythm through fielding. Sure-handed with well above average ball skills. Very impressive behind the dish, registering advanced pop times for class. Feet are quick and actions are smooth. Does a nice job of staying compact during exchange. Ball comes out very quickly, showing above average strength to his arm.
