Two-way prospect. On the bump the right-hander has fluid tempo to his lower effort. Gets down the mound well following his chest high leg lift with a drop and drive load. Works through a high-¾ slot, displaying developing arm speed. A strike thrower that tossed all three offerings in the zone. Fastball was true through the zone at 55-58 mph. Breaking ball has gradual action, diving through the zone on a 12/6 plane at 50-51 mph. Changeup has dive as well with a little added run at 46-50 mph. Liked what I saw from Nick in the infield. Plays under control with simple actions. Not flashy but very efficient/reliable defender. If he gets his hands on it the play was made on this day. Loose arm that shows present accuracy with signs of more strength to come. At the plate he maintains barrel rhythm throughout his leg kick timing trigger and stride. Balanced swinger with a compact stroke through the zone. Swing will show slight downhill tendencies at times. Stays inside the baseball well, spraying the ball up the middle with backspin.
