Body type: 5-foot-11, 165 -pound thin frame.
Swing mechanics: Simple and smooth leg kick that works with his swing.
Hit: Level bat path to all fields. Line drive guy, and does a good job of staying inside the baseball.
Power: Line drive guy who will get more juice as he develops.
Offensive projection: Top of the lineup guy.
Field: Athletic kid with good actions out there. Plays too and through well. Ball skills are above average for class.
Throw: Arm works well. Much more strength to come. Made an outstanding throw in game to gun down a runner at home.
Defensive Projection: CF/LF.

Swing Mechanics: Utilizes a leg kick load and shows an on plane bat path and strong hands.
Hit: Good bat to ball ability and strong hands/wrists.
Power: 78 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Still a lot of physical development and projection remains. This will be crucial to determining his offensive projection.
Run: 4.71 home to 1st.
Field: In the outfield he attacks the ball and plays through it well. In the infield he waits on the ball but takes decent angles. Shows somewhat stiff hands and is very 2 handed in how he fields balls.
Throw: 72 mph across the diamond. 78 mph from the outfield.
Defensive Projection: Showcases better raw physical tools and more refined skills in the outfield. Probably projects as a corner outfield type.

5-foot-9, 138-pound prospect with small, athletic frame. Shows good feel for the outfield position. Footwork is clean and creates momentum through his throws. Exchange is short and quick. Tendency to throw uphill. Top velocity of 68 mph, which should improve as he physically matures and develops. At the plate, he displayed a simple, consistent swing. Barrelled the ball to all fields. Starts with slightly open stance and gets back to square with his stride. Needs to continue getting stronger to create more power behind his swing. Younger brother of class of 2018 UC commit Griffin Merritt.
