Hit: Left-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a slight back load to hands during double tap timing trigger. A bit raw but there are tools there. Physical dude with above average bat speed. Power: Gap pop. Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling. Max BP Exit Velocity: 95 mph Max BP Distance: 333 ft Field: Corner skill set in the outfield. Under control sequence with developing ball skills. Throw: Arm is top tool out there. Ball jumps. Defensive Projection: Corner Outfield.
Scouting Notes: Interesting arm in 2021 class. Hs size/velocity that college coaches are looking for. Also flashed the ability to spin it, tossing a big/up and down breaker. A bit erratic at times. Could easily see a velocity jump in there. Fastball: 81-83mph. Fastball Spin Rate: 1744-2128 Breaking Ball: 61-63mph. Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1774-1842
1/20/20
Hit: Very physical bat from the left side. Similar to his performance on the mound he has something to clean up but all the tools are there. Ball jumps when squared. High ceiling with two-way potential. Power: Gap abilities with the ability to leave the yard presently. Offensive Projection: Run Producer. Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 92.3 Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 341 Field: In the outfield he was initially aggressive with his routes to balls but showed below average footwork. Throws did show good carry to them. Defensive Projection: Corner OF
1/20/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: A guy Ohio schools are going to want to get a look at this spring. Just recently moved into the state from Tennessee. Really looks the part physically at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds. Arm is long and loose with well above average arm speed. A bit erratic at times but the southpaw has traits to put college coaches in the stands. Fastball: 3/4 slot gives natural run to fastball that topped at 84. Could easily see more in the tank. Fastball Spin Rate: 2000-2100 Curveball: Developing offering that glides across the zone on a 2/8 plane. 66-67 mph. Curveball Spin Rate: 1800-2000 Changeup: Appeared to the more advanced secondary offering of the two at least on this day. Fastball look out of the hand with similar ASR. 72-73 mph. Pitchability: In/out of the zone.
