6/5/18 A good athlete with loud natural tools. An aggressive swinger that doesn’t get cheated up there. Mid 90s exit velo is evident in BP as the ball jumps off his bat with authority to both gaps. Has some swing in miss but a constant threat to do damage each time he steps up there. In the outfield he has a center/left field skill set. Reads the ball well off the bat and can track it down when need be. Very active base runner as well. 60-yard dash: 6.8 Outfield Velocity: 83 Exit Velocity: 96

The more I see Davenport the more I like him. Swing is very high intent, which normally would suggest there is some swing and miss in there but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. We’ve seen multiple game at bats and he looks to posses the rare ability to combine barrel feel with intent. Stood out in BP here for his ability to drive the ball with authority (91 mph exit velocity), just as he has each time we’ve seen him in game. College scouts put a premium on athleticism and Davenport fits the bill. Runs a a 4.25 down the line and is functional in the outfield, displaying center fielder like qualities. Arm plays at 85 mph and projects for more. Very interesting prospect who will likely receive D1 attention.
