Power: Present power. Top BP Exit Velocity: 97 mph. Top BP Distance: 290 ft. Offensive Projection: Run produces. Field: Shows good reaction at 3B not afraid to stick his nose in one. Plays with good hands allowing the glove to work out in front of the body. Throw: 77 mph across the infield. Defensive Projection: Corner.
2/23/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Has the max effort reliever look. High leg kick with a quick arm to go along. Will gain more velocity once he uses his lower half more efficiently. Fastball: Topping at 77 mph with arm side run and coming from a ¾ slot. Fastball Spin Rates: 1700-1900. Curveball: Between 69-71 tight power breaking ball. Curveball Spin Rates: N/A. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Compact delivery that has some rhythm. Slight pause during the stride but shows good direction. Works out of a high-3/4 slot.
Fastball: 73-76 mph fastball is mostly straight working on a downward plane.
Curveball: 61-65 mph curveball has a near 12/6 shape with developing depth.
Changeup: 65-66 mph changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed and shows late sinking action near the zone.
Pitchability: Showed good feel for both secondary offerings. Breaking ball shows a little early at times but could develop into an above average offering. Fastball command needs to improve but he does create some angle on the pitch.
Role: At this stage he’s likely better suited for a role in the bullpen.
