8/5/18 5-foot-9, 160-pound. Right handed hitting middle infield prospect. Sets up with a wide base, small leg lift to initiate the lower half. Quick hands working on a level plane, line drive type hitter. Recorded a exit velocity of 84 mph. Defensively showed soft hands and a good transfer. Good footwork and range laterally, arm strength is presently below average at 76 mph across the diamond. Recorded a 4.57 home to first time.
6/26/18 A well-rounded prospect with a skill set that translates to the next level. As simple as it is to say Palmieri is just a good baseball player. Tools are respectable but not outstanding measurable wise. To get a true understanding of Palmieri as a player you need to see him in game a few times as we’ve been lucky enough to do. A middle infielder with an ideal second baseman skill set and a table setter type bat with a ton of feel for finding the barrel. Definite college level prospect. 60-yard dash: 7.38 Infield Velocity: 77 Exit Velocity: 87
6/5/18 Palmieri is a well rounded, solid ball player. Skill set shows louder in game than in a showcase setting as measurables are solid but don’t jump off the page. A smooth swinger with a compact stroke and feel for the barrel. Sprayed line drives in BP and bat showed up in game. In the infield he is a reliable defender with smooth feet and well above average ball skills. A middle type that could play short at the right level with a higher ceiling at second base. 60-yard dash: 7.18 Infield Velocity: 76 Exit Velocity: 84
2/18/18 5-foot-10, 160 pound middle infielder did a nice job defensively showing average glovework. Footwork is still developing in quickness. Throwing velocity was 72 mph across the diamond and threw with nice accuracy. A righty swinger that stars in a balanced setup. Turned in one of the more impressive BPs of the day. Swing possess whip, direction, and above average natural tools through the zone. That combination allows him to create a large margin for error in timing and do damage when he squares up the baseball. Making his performance more impressive was his ability to create loud pop with a lower effort swing. Definite bat to follow. 60-yard dash: 7.31 Infield Velocity: 76 Exit Velocity: 85
1/18/16 5-foot-5, 135-pound athletic frame. Ran a 8.03 60-yard dash. At the plate the righty start in an open, balanced set up. Used excellent rhythm when getting back to even with an aggressive stride. Hands stayed simple, slightly moving back during his stride. Showed an aggressive, compact swing with a flat bat path. Created great energy and got every ounce of juice out of his frame. Has a faster bat than his 65 mph exit velocity indicates. In the field he looked very impressive at shortstop. Showed quick footwork and soft hands while fielding the ball out in front of his body. Showed the ability to get the ball out of his hand very quickly after fielding. Threw with clean arm action from a 3/4 slot with 65 mph arm strength.
