6/19/18 A right-handed bat that starts in a taller stance. Shows a slight back load with hands during short stride for timing. A physical kid that can produce loud contact when he gets extended. Path is slightly downhill and swing is compact. Sprayed line drive to both gaps in BP. Power is in there once he adds loft to swing. A first baseman with the frame for the spot. Looks to have feel around the bag with developing lateral mobility. Gets rid of it quickly and accurately to second base. Two-way prospect. On the bump the southpaw has a slower paced tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Arm has some looseness through a ¾ slot. Fastball will run arm side regularly at 74-77 mph. Spins a near 12/6 breaking ball that has some downward bite at 62-66 mph. Home to 1st: 4.92 Infield Velocity: 60 Exit Velocity: 83
9/24/17 A 6-foot-2 southpaw that picked up where Perebzak left off. Came in for the final three innings and allowed just two hits while striking out three. Ball comes out of his hand well, topping at 78 mph. Spins a 1/7 shaped gradual breaking curveball that acted as his out pitch. Swings it from the right-side and produced all weekend. A strong kid who should fit nicely in the middle of the lineup. Path is slightly downhill and he doesn’t get cheated up there. Drove the ball with authority in BP and in game. At first base he gets off the bag well and does a nice job creating throwing lanes with his feet. Frame fits the position and he looks comfortable over there. Ball skills are adequate.
