Martinez is a big strong kid that throws from a ¾ arm slot. He does a good job driving down the mound and using his arm has long and loose action which acts as a whip. His fastball was firm and showed late life at 79-83 mph. His changeup showed very little movement and was thrown at 72-76 mph. He also throws a curveball with minimal break at 70-72 mph. Martinez will be a guy to continue to follow through his senior season and will be a good arm in this class if he can find a feel for his secondary offerings. In the infield uses average footwork with fluidity in the actions. Tends to let the ball get deep transitions into a clean transfer. Showed plenty of arm to stay at third base in the future. Reached a top velocity of 81 mph from a near high ¾ slot. A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Uses a knee pinch for timing as barrel flows back to a vertical launch. Physicality shows inside his downhill swing. Middle of the lineup type bat presently with a chance to be more dynamic as he twitches up.
