6/6/18
6-foot-3, 175-pound. Right handed pitching prospect with an athletic build. Uses a quick tempo delivery with a highlift rolling into a hip load. Works out of a long arm action through a high three-quarter slot. Fastball sat 80 to 82 mph working downhill with slight arm side run. Shows good feel for his breaking ball, the pitch is late breaking with 11 to 5 shape and swing and miss potential att 72 to 74 mph.

2/4/18

6-foot-2, 175 pound righty has fluid arm action aided with great intent as he drove down the mound with good usage of his lower half. 79-82 FB with some ASR and keep it low throughout his outing. Shein provides good separation at hand break allowing him to get in a strong throwing position at foot strike. CB at 63-64 with good break and located very well for the most part. Good size and ability that will fit in well at the next level.

1/27/18

A 6-foot-2, 175-pound athletically built kid. Brownlee’s staff is very high on him and it’s easy to see why. Reportedly sat in the low 70s at one point in 2017, which is a far cry from the 82-84 mph fastball he showed on this day. Complements his fastball with a curveball and a slider. Although he will need to be in the zone more consistently with each offering, both are above average offerings stuff wise.

1/20/18

Long limbed prospect with room to add strength. Rolls through wind up getting to a chest-high leg lift prior to load. Lower half is efficient and generates energy. Arm is longer with a slight hitch in the back. Works through a high-¾ slot with slight arm side action on his 80-82 mph. Spins both a breaking ball and a slider, doing a nice job of creating different planes a hitter has to deal with. Slider cuts across the zone at 73-75 mph. Breaking ball was sharp but will need to be in the zone more often with the pitch.
