Body Type: 6-foot, 150-pound athletic, thin frame that should support easy added strength. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Very athletic delivery. High-3/4 righty with a clean, fast arm. Projects for more velo. Fastball: 79-81 mph. 2000-2200 spin rate guy with mid 80s efficiency. More to come. Curveball: Two different breaking balls. Spins an 11/5 shape with late dive. Solid offering that should only get better. The better of the two may be the slider. Late, sharp break to it with more than enough action to miss barrels. Changeup: Quality third offering. Maintains arm speed with some fading action to it. Pitchability: Filled it up. Swing Mechanics: Very athletic movements that sync well. Hit: Looks the part in the box. Athletic mover with feel for contact. Already generates impressive jump and has much more to come as he fills out projectable frame. Upside is there. Power: Gap abilities with some present loft power to pull. Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Run: 6.85 60-yard dash. Field: Talented defender. moves well with athleticism to his actions. One of the top defenders we saw on the day. Throw: Arm works well. Above average strength that should continue to add. Defensive Projection: 2B/3B. Additional Comments: A low risk prospect that has a chance to be a two-way guy at the next level. Not near his ceiling physically as he is a calendar year younger than the typical 2020. Don’t be surprised if he grows into some velo, more pop and glove already plays at a high level. All movements work on both sides of the ball and on the mound.
6/18/19
Body Type: 6-foot, 150-pound tall, athletic projectable frame Mechanical/Delivery Notes: The athletically built righty shows a lot of potential on the mound. Works through a slow tempo into a drop and dive type motion. A near ¾ slot into a high energy drive toward the plate. Fastball: 80-81mph. Shows good feel for the pitch, with the ability to hit corners at will. With a low spin efficiency, we see some late cutting movement away from right-handed hitters. Curveball: 67-68mph. 12/6. Sharp late break with a solid depth. The break shows a lot of potential at an already above average level. Mixes it in well in all counts and is located well around the knees. Slider: 72-74mph. Alongside his spinner, the slider acts as a tough third offering with sharp late break kept on the corners. Hammer of a breaking ball at times. Pitchability: Filled it up. Additional Comments: Struck out every hitter he faced. Body Type: 6-foot, 150-pound athletic frame with room to add. Swing Mechanics: Impressive control over body for how big movements. Bat tip/leg kick combo. Hit: Athletic actions in the box with obvious tools. High end athlete functionally. Looks the part in the box. Drove the ball to all fields and has more to come as he fills out frame. Swing plays. Power: 93.5 off the bat in BP. Projects as a guy who will hit for routine gap abilities with occasional power. Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Run: 4.52 H-1st. Field: Looks the part in the infield. Plays fast and can create angles. Very good athlete. Ball skills are there. Throw: Clean arm with above average strength and more to come. Defensive Projection: All three skill sports.
