2/9/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Burnworth throws from a low ¾ arm slot with a long arm path. Delivery shows some crossfire elements. Slow rhythm and tempo but uses his long levers well to create velocity. Fastball: The fastball was 78-82 mph and mostly true through the zone. Curveball: His breaking ball was 65-68 mph with slurvey shape and a tumbling type action. Showed minimal bite. Changeup: The changeup was 71-73 mph. Pitchability: Average feel for his three pitch mix. Delivery creates natural deception for him and will serve him well going forward.
6/18/19
Body Type: 6-foot, 163-pound athletic, projectable frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Works quick, with a high-tempo high-effort motion to the plate. High leg kick into a low dive and drive motion toward the plate with control and direction. Tight and fluid arm action through a ¾ slot. Fastball: 77-80. Fast is consistently in the high 70’s, topping out at 80 and hanging around 79. Stays true through the zone and works low and locates well. Plenty of room to build onto frame with promise of added velo. Curveball: 69-71. Solid secondary pitch with good change of velo. Worked in the spinner in hitters and pitchers counts. Tight, sharp break at a 11/5 break. Changeup: Pitchability: Expect a lot more out of the prospect as he builds onto his frame. Keep an eye out for increased velo and developed offspeed.
Body Type: 6-foot, 163-pound athletic, projectable frame.
Swing Mechanics: Simple load into back leg that gets in sync with his upper half.
Hit: Downhill bat path with a middle approach. Fluid swing that produces line drives to all fields.
Power: More to come as he develops and adds size.
Offensive Projection: TBD. Field: In the infield he plays with direct routes in funnel. Actions are much more athletic on the move. Ball skills are on par for class. Throw: 3/4 right-hander with developing strength. Defensive Projection: TBD.

2/17/19
Body Type: 6-foot, 160 pounds. Lean frame with room to fill in.
Swing Mechanics: Produces a shorter, compact swing with an uphill bat path.
Hit: Made contact well throughout his round. Greater barrel action made sent balls more opposite field.
Power: 81 mph exit velocity. Nice power produced with more potential.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Run: 7.9 seconds 60-yard. Field: Displayed playable glovework as he fielded the baseball. Footwork is progressing in fluidity. Plenty of time for him to continue development through high school.
Throw: Saw accuracy with 74 mph across the diamond. Defensive Projection: Multiple positions - infield.
2/17/19 Pitching Body Type: 6-foot, 160-pound thin frame with room to add. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: High-¾ right-hander with a compact, quick arm. Drop and drive type that has some effort to his delivery. Arm works well. Fastball: 77-80 mph.Ball comes out well, staying mostly true through the zone. Well above average velocity for class. Live pitch. Curveball: 61-63 mph. Drops arm a bit on the offering that has gradual action. 11/5 shaped to it. Changeup: 65-67 mph. Still developing feel for the offering. Maintains arm speed. Pitchability: Filled it up for the most part with fastball/breaking ball. Changeup is still developing. Additional Comments: Projectable frame and arm works. Delivery has room to add fluidity/clean up, but the natural arm talent is there.
5/4/18 A two-way prospect that we got a chance to see on the bump. A good athlete with an uptempo pace. Actions are fluid and athletic on the mound. Arm action is clean/compact as arm travels through a high-¾ slot. Will need to be in the zone more often moving forward but the arm talent is there. Fastball was 75-78 mph with life to both sides of the plate. Spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with gradual action at 62-63 mph. Breaking ball was the primary secondary offering but Burnworth showed a changeup a few times as well.
