Coyne has endless projection left on his 6-foot-5, 175-pound frame. Arm shows looseness to it as it moves through a near ¾ slot. Fastball will show regular run, sitting 80-81 mph. Should have much more in the tank as he adds strength. Complements his fastball with a tight breaking ball and above average changeup. A three sport athlete with a high ceiling. At the plate he does a nice job of maintaining barrel rhythm during his leg lift load. Barrel whips through the zone on a mostly level path. A contact type with much more to come. Showed signs of fitting a run producer role. Projectable bat in general that’s far from his ceiling. A projectable frame on the bump. Limbs are long and he has much more physical projection left on frame. Arm is loose with whip through a near high-¾ slot. Fastball showed consistent run at 80-81 mph. Changeup was an impressive offering, displaying late dive and arm side action at 76-79 mph. Spins a tight breaking ball with good spin. A three sport guy with big ceiling once he becomes baseball specific.
