Body Type:6-foot-1 180-poundathletic frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Smooth short arm action with a high leg kick and explosive lower half. Ideal pitching mechanics. Fastball: 76-80mph. Average spin rate around 2100 rpm’s with low 90% efficiency. Curveball: 66-69mph. 2/7 sweeping movement. Above average offering. Pitchability: High pitchability displaying ability to locate both pitches on both corners of the plate. Challenges hitters. Body Type: 6-foot-1, 180-pound physical frame. Swing Mechanics: Smooth simple load into lower half. Hit: Efficient movements.Level bat path that produces bat speed. Balanced offering of natural tools. Knack for finding the barrel. Power: Gap to gap pop. Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup guy. Field: It’s rare you leave a showcase excited about a first baseman because of his glove but Lane Marshall makes that happen. A good athlete over there that can get to a full split and pick it with the best of them. Made play after play over there and saved a few runs while doing it. Throw: More than enough arm for the position. Defensive Projection: 1B.

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic frame. Swing Mechanics: Eays, fluid load that creates balanced at foot strike. Hit: Feel over burst at the plate presently but has respectable jump off the barrel. Stays within himself, consistently backspinning the ball to either gap. Would expect him to gain more pop as he adds strength to his projectable frame. Power: 87 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy with gap abilities. Offensive Projection: TBD. Run: 4.78 H-1st. Field: It is very rare a scout will leave a workout excited about a defensive first baseman but Marshall fits that bill. As good as you’ll see at the highschool level over there. Good athlete with advanced feel and ball skills for the spot. Throw: 73 mph arm strength across the diamond. Defensive Projection: 1B. Additional Comments: Elite defender over at first base with a smooth lefty stroke.

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. Taller, thin build. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Showed arm action that flows throughout his delivery while throwing from a higher ¾ arm slot. Has a quicker paced tempo on the mound that allows him to build up energy well. Upper and lower half synched very well. Fastball: 80-82 mph. Ball showed velocity with effective command of the strike zone. Curveball: 65-66 mph. Comes out of tunnel well producing a big looping break to it with 11-5 action. Changeup: 76-78 mph. Saw sink to it with some glove-side run. Moves with quicker run and threw for strikes. Pitchability: Left-handed has an arm with greater power potential in his future as he continues to fill out. Plenty of upside in him. Role: Starter.

A lefty swinger that starts in a balanced setup. Hands are fluid and loose prior to launch, generating easy whip through the zone. Path has some natural loft to it, showing above average natural tools for class. Consistently stroked line drive to pull side during BP. Checks all the boxes at first base. Plays off the bag with fluidity and feel. An above average athlete for the spot with more than adequate ball skills.
Really liked what I saw from Marshall in the box. The lefty has a wider setup prior to showing fluid actions to loading sequence. Movements sync well, generating balanced and energy while allowing hands to work freely through the zone. Impressive feel for class with the ability to square up the baseball consistently. A line drive guy now with much more in there as physical maturation takes its course. Definite bat to follow. An impressive defender at first base. Brings above average athleticism with feel for the position. Hands work well with well above average ball skills for the spot. Well-rounded player.
