1/27/18
5-foot-11, 160 pound right-handed hitter provided an uphill path the met the baseball on plane often in his round. Ruhnke gets his lower half involved well in his swing and long with getting good extension and staying through the ball for the most part though he sprung up some swings rather than rotating through the ball. His exit velocity was 76 mph and is above average for his class and that can be improve by creating more separation. In the infield, Ruhnke’s hands were soft and he did an excellent job working through his backhand. He threw with a short-arm action 65 mph across the diamond and that will improve as he gets older.
