Scouting Notes: One of the higher upside arms we saw on the day. 6-foot-5, 2023 with athleticism. High velocity ceiling here. Both secondary offerings are above average and in the zone consistently. Fastball: Upper 70s on this day with considerably more in the tank. Breaking Ball: Above average offering for class. Good depth with heavy up/down action. Changeup: Quality third offering with solid sell. Pitchability: In/out throughout outing.

Body Type: 6-foot-3, long limbed frame with endless projection left on it. Swing Mechanics: Left-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a fluid lower half with back load to hands. Hit: Upside is obvious with his long levers and 6-foot-3 frame from the left side. Showed impressive feel as well for a prospect that young with that length. Barrelled up everything in BP, using the entire field. High follow with a ton of potential. Power: 80 mph exit velocity. Potential for raw power. Offensive Projection: Run Producer. Run: 4.72 H-1st. Field: Ideal size with well above average athleticism for the first base position. Really looks the part. Going to grow into a really solid defender over there. Throw: Big arm. More than enough for the position. Defensive Projection: 1B. Additional Comments: Huge upside with his frame, lefty bat and athleticism.
Body Type: 6-foot-3, long limbed frame with endless projection left on it. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Overall pretty decent control over his body which speaks volumes of his athleticism as you don’t typically see that with a prospect this young and with that length. Uptempo guy/works fast. Arm works well. Much more in the tank with physicality. Fastball: 72-75 mph. Comes out well with heavy movement to both sides of the plate. Going to throw much harder someday. Curveball: 60-61 mph. 1/7 shaped, big bender with gradual action. Didn’t throw the pitch often but was in the zone when he showed it. Pitchability: Strike thrower. Additional Comments: Hitters couldn’t get on the fastball and he showed the breaker just enough for it to be effective.

2/17/19
Body Type: 6-foot-3, 166 pounds. Taller, lean athlete.
Swing Mechanics: In the box he has a wider stance producing a longer, uphill bat path. Developing consistency in his swing as he looks to maintain a good balance of weight distribution prior to attacking pitches.
Hit: Saw line-drive results from his barrel action. Greater potential still let in his bat.
Power: 69 mph exit velocity. Power output stays more middle of the field.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Run: 8.25 seconds 60-yard. Field: Fielded it well at the event showing average glovework as he works through the baseball. Actions can present more fluidity as he footwork progresses in the next few years.
Throw: 71 mph across the diamond showing strength. Defensive Projection: First base.
2/17/19 Pitching
Body Type: 6-foot-3, 166 pound projectable frame with room to add
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Loose arm action, releasing from a ¾ arm slot. Could load lower half better, but delivery looked athletic and fluid.
Fastball: 69-72 mph. Fastball showed life, but was in and out of zone. Missing arm side consistently.
Curveball: 61-63 mph. Sliderish with big break. Commanded the zone with it.
Changeup: 64-65 mph. Mostly straight, but threw with fastball arm speed.
Pitchability: In and out of zone with fastball. Showed the ability to command the breaking ball, but still developing into a swing and miss pitch. Good command of change up.
Additional Comments: Must follow in the ‘23 class. Above average athletic ability for his age that will add velo as he continue to adds strength.
