A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball

Hit: Left-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Uses a back load to hands during fluid stride. Balanced stroke, ton of feel for contact, laced line drives all over the yard. 70+bat speed. Barrelled everything in BP. Very talented hit tool to follow. Power: Gap abilities. Love the balance of strength and bat speed. Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Max BP Exit Velocity: 94 mph Max BP Distance: 332 ft Field: Looked the part out there. Smooth actions with a clean play through. Looks athletic throughout. Throw: Absolute cannon. Ball explodes out of the hand. Defensive Projection: Multiple Positions.
Scouting Notes: Athletic mover on the mound. Arm really works, showing above average arm speed. Sat in the low 80s with undoubtedly more in the tank. Up to 91 mph from the outfield as he gets that to translate. Also can spin it, showing an above average breaking ball. One of the top prospects overall at the event. Fastball: 78-83mph, T87 Fastball Spin Rate: 2054-2189 Breaking Ball: 69-70mph. Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 2088-2253

Body Type: 6-foot-0, 165 pounds with a long, athletic frame with room to fill out. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Repeats delivery while throwing through a high 3/4 arm slot. Average arm speed. Fastball: 77-79 mph stays true as it approaches the plate. Fills up the zone with this pitch. Curveball: 65-66 mph breaking ball shows good tight spin. Bends through on an 11/5 plane. Changeup: 70-73 mph uses good fastball arm speed creating deception for his counterpart. Changeup shows some sinking action. Summary: Starter type with a three pitch mix. Difficult to hit when he commands secondary pitches. Velocity should continue to trend upward as he matures physically.
Body Type: 6-foot-0, 165 pounds with a long, athletic frame with room to fill out. Swing Mechanics: Starts in a balanced stance. Slightly casts his barrel but shows quick hands and good barrel control. Has a pull approach and remains balanced throughout his swing. Hit: Good bat to ball ability and barrel control. Power: 82 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Shows the ability to be a line drive singles type guy who sprays the ball around at times. Presently shows more of a pull approach that could limit him. Field: In the infield he talks solid angles through the ball. Waits on the ball a bit too much and his throws had good carry. In the outfield he showed average abilities and played through the ball relatively well. Throw: 77 mph across the diamond. 82 mph from the outfield. Run: 7.28 60 yard dash. Defensive Projection: Presently would probably project best as a 2B at the next level. Could potentially move around the diamond and fill in at corner OF spots.

5-foot-10, 140 pound prospect hits left-handed with good leg usage in his swing. Kulich does separate a little too early causing his hands to go away from his body as his weight shifts forward. Just needs to develop consistent timing and more rhythm in his swing. His path was slightly uphill and made good contact often but still has more potential in him to increase his 72 mph exit velocity. In the infield Kulich showed a good glove but stops his momentum while fielding it. Needs to come through the ball and carry momentum into his throws and that will improve his 60 mph throwing velocity. Feet were average in that he needs to take better angles to the ball. As an OF, Kulich had good arms strength at 77 mph throwing velocity and was very accurate. As in the infield, his footwork can improve by taking better angles and getting to the side of the ball which will also provide more power behind his throws.
