An athletically built prospect. On the bump the southpaw has good tempo to his delivery. Actions are fluid on the hill. Arm action is long and relatively clean through an over the top slot. Ball comes out well with little effort. Fastball works downhill at 71-75 mph with regular arm side run. Still developing feel for his tight slider that came in the zone 62-64 mph. Puts good spin on the offering that was sharp when he started it in the middle of the plate. A two-way guy who swings it from the left side. Swing movements are simple, yet efficient. Swing is compact, showing above average natural tool through the zone. A twitchy hitter who looks to be able to handle velocity. Sprayed the ball to both sides of the field, generating easy gap pop. Talented bat to follow. Brings ideal size and above average athleticism to the first base position. Gets off the bag well and displayed solid ball skills. Can get flat footed at times but it didn’t affect his ball security on this day. Looks to be an above average defender with a high ceiling defensively.
