6/20/18 Two-way prospect. A lefty bat that starts in a tall stance. Uses a back load with hands during his small leg lift for timing. Compact, downhill stroke with quick hands through the zone. Shows some strength at contact. A line drive type hitter with a table setter skill set. In the outfield he has a corner look to him. Moves well, getting too and through the ball well. Long/loose arm that projects for more strength. On the bump the southpaw has good tempo to a delivery that he can repeat. Drop and drive type that finishes towards home plate. Long/sweeping arm action with above average arm speed. Slot creates angle and plane on his 74-78 mph fastball. Spins a 1/7 shaped breaking ball with big, gradual action at 59-63 mph. Also showed a slider with a tighter, sharper look. Home to 1st: 4.92 Outfield Velocity: 79 Exit Velocity: 80
2/4/18 5-foot-10, 160 pound right hander with an athletic build showing smooth actions in his motion delivering a FB at 78-80 mph from ¾. Muckley gets exceptional use from his lower half and getting the back leg to fire. CB at 69-71 maintain good spin and kept it down with some later break. He can improve his CB break and velocity by maintain the same arm speed as he does his FB. High ceiling as he showed confidence and applied great intent to his throws. In the outfield, Muckley moved well and attacked the baseball prior to fielding it. Consistently gets to the side of the ball and fieldis it cleanly. Reached 83 mph on his throws from the outfield, which is above average for his class. Offensively Muckley has a level path with pull tendencies. His front side stayed firm throughout his round making good contact to balls middle and in. He need to work on staying on outside pitches which will only add to his tools as he moves onto college.
