11/10/18 The top defender we saw behind the dish on the day. Looked the part receiving in pens and showed well above average exchange abilities in workout. Arm is a well above average tool offering present strength/ accuracy. Consistently popped below 2.0. At the plate he uses a toe turn timing trigger during back load with his hands. Athletic swing on a mostly level path. Can get a bit downhill at times. Bat speed is a bit ahead of strength presently but he shows more juice than frame would suggest. Line drive swinger with occasional gap abilities. 60-yard dash: 7.51 Pop Times: 1.94-1.97 Catcher Velocity: 77 Exit Velocity: 83
2/18/18 5-foot-11, 135 pound catching prospect starts from a wide crouching position showing nice receiving ability. His footwork was average and developing in gaining greater momentum through the plate as he throws. Ball to hand transfer was nice but can be quicker. Threw with solid arm strength at 76 mph down to second base. Impressive pop times at 1.93-2.07 seconds. At the plate the righty starts in a balanced setup. Load is simple, using a back load with hands during short stride for timing. Foot gets down very early giving him a ton of time to read the pitch. An ambush type hitter that takes a downhill path to contact. Hands show more speed than strength through the zone. Showed line drive abilities in BP. 60-yard dash: 7.76 Pop Times: 1.93-2.07 Catcher Velocity: 76 Exit Velocity: 79
