2/14/19 Pitching

Body Type: 6-foot, 155 pounds. Lean, athletic build.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws out of both a lower ¾ arm slot as well as a submarine delivery. Rhythm flowed nicely with an even tempo. Got ahead of himself with his motion but settled in more towards the end of outing.

Fastball: 71-76 mph. Saw signs off and on of sharper run across the plate with average command.

Changeup: 67-70 mph. Presented solid sinking action behind it with arm-side run cutting back late across the zone. Effective pitch for sure.

Pitchability: Has room to add that can improve abilities overall as he gains strength and sees more reps. Saw better results out of his lower ¾ delivery from the stretch when it came to command. Can continue to build consistency with both arm actions and progress should follow.

Role: Bullpen arm.

2/16/18

5-foot-10, 140 pound pitching prospect with a slim build throws from a lower ¾ arm slot while also dropping down to submarine action periodically. Tempo was even creating good rhythm. Fastball was 72-73 mph with his regular motion while sitting 70-72 from the submarine delivery and showed nice command leaving it at the knees often. Changeup was 67-68 mph with solid command and nice downward run. Overall he looks to be more effective from a side arm release as accuracy was greater.  Displayed average ability defensively needing to create more fluid in actions. Glove worked well leading up to his throws at 70 mph across the diamond. A contact type hitter from the right side. Uses a simple yet efficient loading sequence, showing a slight back load with hands during his short stride forward. Hands show developing speed and strength as bat travels on a level path to contact. Look for much more pop with maturity. A line drive swing in general that generates natural backspin to the middle of the field.

Infield Velocity: 70

Exit Velocity: 79
