A physical bat from the right side. Barrel launches from a vertical position and he uses a small leg lift to efficiently incorporate lower half. Strength stands out as his top tool at the plate. Bat travels on a slightly downhill plane to contact with barrel getting in/out of the zone quickly. Displayed present barrel jump with backspin ability to his opposite field gap. A candidate to grow into some power as swing adds loft and bat speed catches up to strength. Starts in a lower crouch behind the plate, showing flexibility to hips. Actions are smooth and mechanically sound as he gets out of his crouch. Transfer is fluid and throws were on target. Should only get better back there as footwork quickens and arm strength increases.

Starts in an open setup and uses a short stride to get back to even. Hands stay loose and fluid while getting the barrel vertical prior to launch. Produces solid barrel whip through the zone on a level path. A more efficient bat path would allow his above average bat speed to show more in swing. Behind the plate he showed off a quick transfer while getting in line to second base. Feet have some quickness to them and throws were consistently on target.
