Jack Potter: 1B/RHP, (2024) Olentangy Braves, OH. 6-foot-3, 180-pound. (62.0 mph bat speed average). (24.7 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth rhythmic load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick efficient, displayed a short level swing plane and good extension on his balanced finish. Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Line drive base hit approach. Smooth capable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 75 mph; shows sure consistent hands, consistent in control feet, and a fluid natural exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Solid capable on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent clean arm action while showing some consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Has an athletic balance point with even in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Throws a tight fastball with some tailing action and both sides of the plate command. (Max spin 1323; Avg 1210). His curveball shows sweeping action and around the zone control. (Max spin 1526; Avg 1431). He shows control around the zone and sinking action on his heavy changeup.
