Scouting Notes: Arguably the top overall prospect of the entire event who undoubtedly has D1 future. Loose, athletic, mobile and still not near his physical ceiling. Fastball sat in the mid to upper 80s with all the physical signs of more to come. Secondary offerings are led by a sharp, downhill breaking ball that showed signs of swing and miss to it. Also has a real changeup that has good sell as it rides through the zone. Fastball: 86-88mph. Fastball Spin Rate: 2176-2260 Breaking Ball: 72-73mph. Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 2012-2253 Changeup: 77-78 mph.

Body Type: Tall, athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 155-pounds. Long and lanky. Athleticism transfers well over to the mound. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Quick tempo and repeatable delivery. Shows obvious confidence on the mound. Long arm action through high ¾ slot. Deceptive with front side out of the windup. Lower half works well. Creates momentum and transfers energy well through the backside. Fastball: Mostly in the upper 70s, but touched 80 and 81 mph on multiple occasions. Located to both side of the plate. Curveball: Has 12/6 type shape. Worked on two-planes and located for strikes at 62-63 mph Changeup: Still developing feel and command. Sat between 70-72 mph. Occasional sink to the arm side. Summary: FB/CB type guy at present. Advanced mechanics and feel for his delivery sets him up well for the future. Already in the low 80s. Hard not see him ticking up by this summer.

2/17/19
Body Type: 6-foot-2 155-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Uses a toe tap load and has slight cast of his barrel with some natural lift to his swing. Keeps his barrel through the zone well.
Hit: Good barrel control.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Shows solid raw power for a 2022. Swing is conducive to driving balls in the air. Adding strength and size to his frame will be important going forward. Should at least develop into a gap to gap threat. Some power upside due to the natural lift in his swing.
Field: In the outfield he attacks the ball and plays through it well. Moves well and shows a clean arm.
Throw: 79 mph from the outfield.
Run: 4.61 home to first.
Defensive Projection: Athletic in the OF. Should be able to play all three OF spots at the high school level. Probably more of a corner guy at the next level.
