Evan Bottone: OF/OF, (2023) Bay Village, OH. 5-foot-10, 185-pound. In the box, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 95 mph. (70.5 mph bat speed average). (21.1 mph hand speed average). Begins in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Has quick bat speed, short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 85 mph; had consistent quick footwork, a natural exchange, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. Ran a 3.80 30 yard dash.
Evan Bottone: OF/OF, (2023) Bay Village, OH. 5-foot-10, 175-pound. In the box, Bottone's best exit velocity was 90 mph. Very impressive showing at the plate. Smooth, lefty stroke with feel for contact and sneaky juice. High follow bat. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 75 mph; had average footwork, soft hands, and a natural fluid exchange. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball out front. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.82.
One of the top rated prospects of the event. Started off the day by running a blazing 6.58, 60-yard dash. Bottone is far from just straight line fast as speed shows up on the bases and while tracking in the outfield. Offensively, he swings it from the left side showing a controlled/efficient sequence prior to launch. Very quick hands through the zone, with an overall level path to the baseball. The combination of above average physicality and bat speed allowed him to consistently generate exit velocities around the 90mph mark with a top exit velocity of 95mph. Type of bat who can play a variety of roles inside a lineup. Defensively, we’ve noted the footspeed and he also showed above average ball skills for class. How the arm develops will likely determine future destination.
Hit: Laced line drives all over the field. Very impressive round, showing the ability to generate jump with natural backspin. High level lefty bat in that 2023 class.
Power: Easy gap abilities.

Field: Smooth feet with soft hands in the outfield. Plays fast too and through. Ball skills are ahead of curve for class.

Hit:Left-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Easy load that leads to a backside launch. Compact stroke with quick hands through the zone. Middle-back approach in BP with the ability to generate natural backspin to opposite gap. Power:Contact type bat with much more to come. Offensive Projection: Top of line up guy. Max BP Exit:78 mph Max BP Distance:262 ft Field:Plays with a controlled tempo in the outfield. Ball skills are serviceable and he plays with confidence through. Throw:Average to above average strength with mostly accurate deliveries. Defensive Projection:Corner Outfield.
