Notes

Comments

5/28/19

Body Type: 6-foot-7, 195-pound tall athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes:
Long but quick sidearm hurler from the left side.
Fastball:
75-79 mph. Both arm and glove side movement.
Curveball:
68-69 mph sweeping 2/8 slider.
Pitchability:
Above average pitchability. Dominant in the zone with both pitches.
Additional Comments:
Tall but quick. Fast pickoff move. Will be great addition to college staff.

2/17/19

Body Type: 6-foot-7 195-pound prospect with a projectable frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Delivery has rhythm, loads through the hips, uses a long arm action working from a low-3/4 slot.
Fastball: 77-81 mph fastball was mostly straight working on a downhill plane. Pitch shows occasional cutting action.
Slider: 68-71 mph slider tunnels with the fastball. Spin is tight flashing some sharpness with two plane movement.
Changeup: 72-73 mph changeup is thrown with deceptive arm action. Pitch has heavy run and sink to the arm side.
Pitchability: Filled the zone with all three offerings. Did nice job working the fastball at the lower part of the zone. Both secondary pitches are above average for age and generate a lot of swing and misses.
Role: Could project to be either a starter or backend guy in the future. Would likely give chance to start early on especially with advanced feel for three pitches.

7/24/18

Lefty bat that starts in an balanced stance. Uses a slight back load with hands during double tap timing trigger. Physicality is obvious in the box. Takes a nice, level wpth to contact with solid barrel accuracy. Present gap abilities with more to come as he adds strength to projectable frame. In the outfield he plays aggressively to and efficiently through. Loose slinging arm action that projects for more strength. Corner type guy. Ideal frame for the first base position. Moves well off the bag with fluid actions. Ball skills are solid as well. Looks to be a solid defender over there. On the bump the southpaw has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Long lever type that works through a ¾ slot. Slot creates regular run on his fastball that sits 75-76 mph. Slot and length create tough angle on opposing hitters. Compliments fastball with a sweeping breaking ball that darts across the plate at 65-66 mph.
