1/18/21
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Goes with an efficient scap load up top, during his controlled stride for timing. Efficient path with balanced natural tools. Ball comes off well, working to the middle of the field. Power: Gap abilities. Up to 88mph off the bat with much more to come as he fills out. Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling. Field: Looked the part behind the dish. Above average catch/throw guy for class who also showed well in bullpens. Expect everything to continue to get better considering athleticism/ball skills. Throw: Expect the arm to grade out at least at above average before it’s all said and done. Defensive Projection: C.
Delivery/Scouting Notes: A lot to like here. Athletic looking righty with an easy delivery. Fastball sat in low 80s with potential for much more while coming in as high as 2400rpms. Complements the fastball with a sharp, late breaking ball with quality action. Fastball: Heavier than velocity would suggest due to high spin. Filled up the zone with the offering. Breaking Ball: Well above average pitch. Tight spin, late 10/4 ish break. Changeup: Playable third offering. Maintains arm speed. Pitchability: Strike thrower.
