Good athlete with a 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame. The southpaw showed explosive stuff throughout his outing, topping 89 mph with the fastball and sitting 85-87 mph. Attacked hitters with the pitch that he moved around the zone. Complemented the fastball with a a sharp slider that earned it’s fair share of misses. The pitch has good depth with tight spin, dropping off the table late in the zone. As impressive as the stuff was he still has room to clean up lower half and could have even more left in the tank. Dominated in his outing, generating weak contact and fair share of swing/misses. Only negative was he was a bit erratic at times. High follow that should receive his fair share of attention following the event.
5/29/18
A young arm with a very projectable, 6-foot-4 frame. Arm is loose and he is efficient enough the any added strength with maturity should translate to more velocity. The southpaw sat 78-81 mph on this day with decent feel for the breaking ball. A cross fire type who can create plane and a tough angle for opposing hitters.
2/17/18
Bachman is a very projectable left-handed pitcher. At 6-3 and 155-pounds there is room to add strength. Delivery needs some cleaning and would like to see more of the lower half incorporated, but the arm is clean and works. Fastball jumps out of the hand sitting 77-81 mph with occasional arm side run. The breaking ball is his best secondary offering. The pitch tunnels well with the fastball and is of 1/7 shape with tight spin at 67-68 mph. Also, flashed a developing changeup at 65-66 mph. Good spring/summer follow.
