12/2/18 On the mound the right-hander works with good tempo to a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot. Very clean mechanically in general. Fastball should see some more life as physical maturation takes its course, presently sitting in the 79-80 mph range. Spins an above average breaking ball that has some late bite to it at 67-71 mph. Completing nis three pitch mix is a changeup that has late fade to it while maintaining arm speed. A strike thrower that fills up the zone with all three offerings.
5/29/18 A righty swinger that gets things going with a leg kick timing trigger. A middle of the lineup type bat with impressive hit tool. Showed big raw power in BP with impressive feel for the barrel. One of the louder BPs we saw on the day. At first base he moves with fluidity off the bag, showing feel for the position. Also possesses the frame to stay at the spot. Home to 1st: 4.96 Infield Velocity: 76 Exit Velocity: 91
2/17/18
5-foot-11 and 240-pound right-handed pitching prospect. Milburn has nice rhythm to a drop and drive type delivery. Works in-line with the catcher at regular effort. Uses a long arm action working out of a ¾ slot. Shows good feel for a quality four pitch mix. Fastball sat 77-80 MPH with regular arm side run to both sides of the plate. Changeup works nicely off the fastball at 70-71 MPH with sink and run. Offered two quality breaking balls. A bigger get me over 11/5 curveball at 64-66 MPH and a tighter sweeping slider that shows swing and miss potential sat 67-69 MPH. Two-way prospect. A first baseman with obvious feel for the spot. Plays with fluidity off the bag, fielding in the middle of his body. Could create more efficient angles with his feet to get rid of the ball quicker on double plays. Glove skills are more than adequate for the spot. A physical bat from the right side. Uses a leg kick for timing/energy while keeping hands quiet prior to launch. Pre sets an uphill angles with lower half, allowing his bat to work freely through the zone with natural loft. Lifts the ball with ease. A present gap threat to both fields with pull side power.
